Our beloved Sahara sadly passed away on Thursday 7th November 2024, following a short illness, at the ripe old age of 30!
Sahara is the mare behind our organisation, without her S.E.A.R.C.H. may never have been born.
Strong of heart, mind and spirit, a true fighter to the very end, who will always carry a very special place in our hearts.
Sahara was originally rescued from going to the slaughterhouse along with her 2 month old foal, Kaiser.
She has not had an easy life and now at 25 years old has come to the rescue centre for a happy retirement and thoroughly enjoys the freedom to play with the other horses and eat to her heart’s content.
