Jeanie, no longer of any use and considered ‘past her sell by date’ as a breeding machine was rescued from a terrible fate and with the help of kind supporters arrived at SEARCH heavily in foal. She was in such poor condition that it was doubtful she had the strength to give birth to a living foal but, thankfully, after a couple of months of TLC and good nutrition she did produce a healthy beautiful foal (Ebony). At still only 13 years old had given birth annually for the last nine years, she is now regaining her figure and getting used to being handled.
Update November 2018:
Jeanie looks a different horse and is now in training gaining muscle mass and body shape and now looks like a “pura raza español”.
